Fans Rip Open Marcus Mumford's shirt during Mumford and Sons set at Leeds Festival!
01/09/2015
Mumford and Sons returned triumphantly to Reading & Leeds Festival’s this weekend. Friends of Radio Active got as up close and personal as they could for the Leeds set and wrote us a little debrief.
Lets start with the setlist, opening up with ‘Snake Eyes’ taken from their 2015 album ‘Wilder Mind’ before diving into some of the older crowd favourites. Returning back to where it all began with ‘Little Lion Man’ sung back to Marcus by a fever pitch crowd whilst Ted plucked away at the Double Bass.
‘Believe’ saw guitarist Winston Marshall shredding an extended guitar solo much to the crowds delight, at this point it all got a bit hectic seemingly. Picture the scene Leeds festival, main stage down the front after an intense weekend!
Marcus sang ‘Ditmas’ from literally in the front row getting stroked, fondled and most likely snogged by a gang of screaming Leeds lass’s. Finally emerging with his shirt ripped open and hair all over the shop. The rest of band cracking up at the state of their frontman. Finally leaving the stage after an 1 hour and 15mins of anthems to screams of “More!!!!!!”. The band returned for a final encore of ‘Cold Arms’ into a rabble rousing version of ‘The Wolf’ to seal the deal.
